Escritor, músico, crítico, promotor cultural, maestro y conductor y productor radiofónico, Alain nació en Boca del Río, Veracruz, el 3 de octubre de 1956. Es poeta, narrador y ensayista. Estudió historia en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México).
